China-US Clean Energy Symposium
17th March, 8:30 am -- 13:30 pm
China World Hotel

Featuring Sen. Maria Cantwell (D-WA) and China & US Energy Experts

8:30 AM - 1:30 PM, March 17 - China World Hotel

Read the complete agenda

Together, China and the US account for nearly 50 percent of global energy demand and create a similar percentage of greenhouse gas emissions. The two nations are the largest oil importers and coal users in the world, and both are vulnerable to supply and price shocks.

Although clean technology presents one possible solution, market availability can be stymied by export regulations, intellectual property issues and financing hurdles. How can we pool our two countries' talents, resources and market power to drive the clean energy market forward?

Our half-day Symposium of US and PRC experts and officials represents "part 2" of Sen.. Cantwell's China-US energy dialogue (see press release). The symposium will examine the issues surrounding energy consumption and will address ways to eliminate these barriers so the future of power generation can be more efficient with lower carbon emissions.

This event will feature Chinese and English speakers. Simultaneous translation will be available.
