CORPORATE CATEGORIES

1. US Corporate Membership (voting rights)

• Parent company incorporated in the United States, or companies in which US entities and/or US citizens hold a controlling interest
• Legally established in, or have a representative office in China.

Cost of US Corporate Membership: RMB 8000
Additional non-voting representative: RMB 2000

2. Corporate Associate Membership (non-US companies, no voting rights)

• Parent company incorporated outside of the United States and China.
• Legally established in, or have a representative office in China.

Cost of Corporate Associate Membership: RMB 8000, includes one non-voting representative
Additional non-voting representative: RMB 2000

3. Non-Resident Corporate Membership (no voting rights)

• Companies which otherwise qualify for US Corporate or Corporate Associate Membership but do not currently have operations in China.

Cost of Non-Resident Corporate Membership: RMB 8000, includes one non-voting representative
Additional non-voting representative: RMB 2000

4. Affiliate Chamber Membership (no voting rights)

• AmChams in other cities in China.

Cost of Affiliate Chamber Membership: RMB 8000

5. Affiliate Associate Membership (no voting rights)

• Member of Affiliated Chamber

6. Corporate SME (Small and Medium Enterprise) Membership *

• 11-300 employees or less than US $50 Million worldwide gross revenue.

Promotional Cost of Corporate SME Membership: RMB 8000
First additional non-voting representative: Free
Each additional non-voting representative: RMB 2000

7. Corporate Entrepreneur Membership *

• 10 or less employees worldwide and
  
• US $1 Million or less worldwide gross revenue

Promotional Cost of Corporate Entrepreneur Membership: RMB 5000
First additional non-voting representative: Free
Each additional non-voting representative: RMB 2000

INDIVIDUAL CATEGORIES

1. Individual Membership (voting rights)

• US Citizen resident in China who is at least 21 years of age.
• Not employed by a company eligible for US Corporate or Corporate Associate Membership

Cost of Individual Membership: RMB 8000

2. Individual Associate Membership (no voting rights)

• US citizen of good standing resident in China
• Employed by or works on behalf of a charitable, educational, cultural or other similar organization,   the activities of which are consistent with the objectives of the chamber
• An official (or the spouse of an official) of the United States government
• An intern or research associate
• Enrolled as a student and at least eighteen (18) years of age

Cost of Individual Associate Membership: RMB 2000

3. Non-Resident Individual Membership

• Persons who otherwise qualify for Individual US Citizen Membership but who reside outside of China.

Cost of Non-Resident Individual Membership: RMB 8000

4. Individual Entrepreneur *

• Individual who works for a company with 10 or less employees worldwide with US $1 Million or less worldwide gross revenue

Promotional Cost of Individual Entrepreneur: RMB 5000

4. Young or Senior Professional Membership (no voting rights)

• US Citizen resident in China between 18 and 30 years of age.
  OR
• US Citizen resident in China over 60 years of age.
• Not employed by a company eligible for US Corporate or Corporate Associate Membership

Business Classifications  (for use in the Membership Directory)

Voting rights are conferred upon SME and Entrepreneur Memberships if applicant qualifies for US Corporate, Corporate Associate or Individual Membership.

Final determination of membership qualifications will be based on the specifications of the AmCham-China constitution. Only applicants who are engaged in activities consistent with the objectives of the chamber will be accepted as members.
