The primary objective of the AmCham-China Small Business Resource Center (SBRC) is to serve the needs of a growing membership group ¨C SMEs. Small and medium sized enterprises, often overlooked as an audience for large presentations and seminars, thrive on access to a variety of information to assist them in entering or better competing in the China market. The increasingly competitive environment in the Asian market necessitates SMEs to stay on top of their game through always remaining informed of changes in the business environment and prior experiences of other companies.
AmCham-China is spearheading this new program to assist our SME members. Primarily through information-sharing and bridging communication channels, the SBRC aims to consolidate books related to conducting business in China, reference books and guides, periodicals (newspapers, magazines, newsletters, and monthly publications), company-published pamphlets on fields of business in China, NGO publications, US and Chinese government resources, and electronic forms of media, into one centralized location. The Resource Center is located in the office of AmCham-China.
Another benefit of the Resource Center is to help our members who provide superlative information and services, to reach this growing market by sharing materials. While the intent is for all materials in the Resource Center to be non-promotional in nature, the Center provides an excellent platform for companies to showcase their expertise.
The SBRC more intimately joins together AmCham¡¯s members and serves to be mutually beneficial for all parties. AmCham-China is very enthusiastic to see the growth and success of its Resource Center in future years.
